I was finally able to take some time and work on Optimal Resume- it is a very interesting site, and I think it has a lot of great ideas for folks who need to brush up on their resume and who are looking for a job in this recession- it was neat to look at all the information that we have available for our patrons-I liked how the outline for the resume was all lined out so all you have to do is fill in the information. Can't wait for our next task.
Finally was able to to do learn a test. I went to a fourth grade math competency test and was able to pass it- missing only 4 of the 20 questions- seeing as math has changed since I was in the fourth grade, I really didn't think I would be able to pass it, but I did. I then went and answered a few questions to the Citizenship test, but alas the questions that I did, I got wrong. So it was back to the fourth grade reading test- where you read a little story and answer questions at the end- again I passed with flying colors- found out my memory is not as bad as I thought it was getting. I also, think this is a great resource for our patrons.

Alas, I was on the airplane in September, anxiously awaiting my destination- when the lady in the aisle next to me whips out what looked like a mini- and I mean mini computer- but to my surprise it was an e book reader, - she was reading her book, but didn't actually have the book in her hands- I thought it was pretty cool, for the whole two hour flight she read- I think they are really neat little devices and would be great to have when taking a trip etc.
Can't wait for the next task
